Love Yourself at Universiti Malaya
Our Grade 6 students recently joined the inspiring “Love Yourself” program, a 4-day learning experience organized by AIESEC in Universiti Malaya. The program is part of a global initiative supporting UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, aiming to promote mental health, resilience, and self-care among young people.
Over the course of the program, our students took part in four powerful workshops designed to nurture self-awareness, confidence, and emotional growth

🌸 Day 1 – Treasure of Feelings Workshop (6 August 2025)
The program began with fun icebreakers and group activities that helped students open up to one another. They learned the importance of self-discovery, self-acknowledgment, and self-validation, and practiced sharing their own experiences through public speaking and persuasion exercises. The day closed with a journaling session, encouraging reflection on their feelings.
🎨 Day 2 Express Yourself Workshop (13 August 2025)
This session focused on emotional expression through art. Students explored healthy ways to accept both positive and negative emotions and discovered coping strategies for challenges such as anxiety and stress. Using a variety of art media, they expressed their emotions creatively and ended the day by recording personal reflections in their journals.

🏃 Day 3 Unlock Your Mind Workshop (20 August 2025)
Blending outdoor activities with counseling insights, this workshop promoted a growth mindset and resilience. Students participated in meaningful sports and team-building games, which boosted their confidence, problem-solving skills, and willingness to take on challenges. Safe spaces for self-reflection were also created, supported once again by journaling exercises.
🌱 Day 4 Friendly Companion Workshop (22 August 2025)
The final workshop introduced students to eco-therapy practices, showing how nature can support mental well-being. Each participant planted and decorated their own potted plant, symbolizing growth and care. They also wrote down positive affirmations, reinforcing the values of self-love and encouragement learned throughout the program. This closing session tied together all the lessons from the week, leaving a lasting impression on the students.

Through these four workshops, our Grade 6 students not only gained practical tools for managing their emotions but also learned to embrace their uniqueness, build confidence, and care for themselves and others.
We are deeply grateful to AIESEC in Universiti Malaya for organizing this meaningful program, which reflects our shared commitment to preparing students not just academically, but also emotionally and socially, for the challenges of tomorrow.
